June 25, 2008 · Filed Under Apple News, iPhone & iPhone 3G
AppleInsider is reporting that Apple will include a secure data wipe feature in the upcomming iPhone 2.0 software update. Apple has come under some fire for not including a full data wipe feature on the current iPhone software. This problem has become a issue for users wishing to sell or give their old iPhone away. This feature will be similar to the Mac OS X feature of securly emptying the trash (or securly deleting files). This is a welcome feature for many and a great way to insure your identity and data is safe if you need to delete it from your phone.
