Pwnage Tool 2.0 Released
This evening the iPhone Dev Team released the Pwnage Tool 2.0. Pwnage 2.0 allows 1st Gen iPhone users to upgrade to Firmware 2.0 and the ability to jailbrake, activate and unlock the phone. It also allows jailbrakes on the iPod Touch 2.0 and the iPhone 3G. Those wanting the iPhone 3G unlocked will have to wait a bit longer, as this tool will not unlock the iPhone 3G. The Pwnage Tool 2.0 in for Mac only.

Update 2 - After downloading iPhone 2.0 firmware, I am having an issues getting Pwnage Tool to accept the 2.0 .ispw file. It continues to say that file can not be recognized. If anyone is having a similar issue please leave a comment and help me fix this issue. Thanks.
Update 3 - After some research and then feeling really stupid, I resolved the .ispw issue I was having. There are 2 different 2.0 firmwares; one for 1st Gen iPhone (iPhone1,1_2.0_5A347_Restore.ipsw) and another for the 3G iPhone (iPhone 1,2_2.0_5A347_Restore.ipsw). I was trying to use the 3G version for my 1st Gen iPhone. The Dev Team also released an update to the Pwnage Tool 2.0 (Pwnage Tool 2.0.1) to fix the bouncing dock issues where some users could not get the software to load. Once I fixed my firmware issues, the rest was a piece of cake. It was easy and painless. Thank you Dev Team!
